«The highlight of our vacation. Our main interest on our vacation is nature and wildlife, so we contacted VeadoVerde after reading some great recommendation in facebook & tripadvisor. To sum up our experience, I would say that it was an amazing one, even exceeded our expectations, and our 14 & 17 years old kids rank it as the highlight of our vacation. Alfredo has great knowledge about the nature, history and the traditional life in Portugal. He is a great person and we enjoyed very much travelling with him. We visited charming abundant and reconstructed schist villages (not the touristic ones, but much more authentic). The hike in the forest was beautiful and unique – it was like a fun trip in a Jungle, among trees and throughout dense plants. We really enjoyed it! As for the deer, it was a very hot day and I was a bit skeptic about our chances to see them. However, it seems that Alfredo knows exactly where and when to look for them, and he gave us the opportunity to spot deer, both females and males, while driving on beautiful and pleasant off-roads. We were very happy to see deer in nature from a close distance, it was a unique experience, and the landscape is so beautiful, that it was well worth a journey for itself! Alfredo also took us to eat in a great restaurant in a beautiful location, which was one of the best we had while in Portugal.
